When Does the British Touring Car Championship Start?

When does the British touring car championship begin? There are several factors to consider when determining the start of the championship, such as where it will take place. For example, the season has not begun in Hampshire since 2010; as such, the opening round will be behind closed doors. However, the BTCC calendar is still the same and will include the traditional season-opening round at Thruxton. Also, don’t forget the Thruxton Indy and Donington Park events.

BTCC 2021

The British Touring Car Championship has delayed its opening season for another five weeks to allow for a full grid. The 2021 season will feature a 30-race calendar with ten events, with Thruxton hosting the opening round. The series has retained three TBLs and aims to reduce the size of its grid over the years. The names of drivers and sponsors will be confirmed in the coming weeks. A finalised entry list will be published in March.

Donington Park

The Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) starts at Donington Park on 9-10 October. As the end of the season approaches, the top tin top drivers will be out to show their stuff. Ash Sutton, who leads the championship, is chasing a late surge from Jake Hill, Colin Turkington, Josh Cook and Tom Ingram. The Donington triple header should prove crucial in the title fight.

Thruxton

The official British Touring Car Championship season will be officially launched at Thruxton on the opening weekend of April. The day-long launch event will mark the end of the official pre-season testing period, before the season begins at Donington Park on April 24. Fans can attend the launch for free, and can meet the drivers during the Pit Lane Walkabout during the lunch break. For more information, please visit the Thruxton Racing website.

Thruxton Indy

The British touring car championship starts tomorrow at Thruxton indy, the Hampshire circuit that has not held a round since 2010. In its place is a new hybrid power system that could add up to 15 seconds to a lap. Drivers will now have to decide between attacking and defending this new hybrid technology. The testing will continue tomorrow. Here are some predictions for this year’s championship.

Brands Hatch Indy – BTCC

The British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) is returning to the indy circuit in 2021. It will feature the best racing drivers on the domestic UK scene in race-prepared saloon cars and an exciting reverse grid finale. The event will feature a full support programme and is part of the leading one-make sports car, single-seater, and saloon series.

Ash Sutton

The BTCC is a motor racing series that takes place across the United Kingdom. The championship has become a worldwide phenomenon and this year’s lineup of drivers is set to be more exciting than ever before. This year’s full-capacity grid includes Ash Sutton, three-time reigning champion and Colin Turkington. These drivers are also expected to be joined by former champions Gordon Shedden, Jason Plato and Tom Ingram.
